「謝稚柳和妻子陳佩秋來香港時，大部分時間都住在我父母家。在沒有社交活動，或者天氣不佳而無法外出時，我母親會請他倆為兩個女兒畫點什麽。這就是謝、陳伉儷為我，亦即他們的姪孫女畫的兩幅作品的來源。」

When Xie Zhiliu and his wife Chen Peiqiu visited Hong Kong, they stayed with my parents most of the time. During those days when they didn’t have social engagements or when inclement weather prevented them from going out, my mother would ask them to paint something for her two daughters. This is the provenance of these two paintings dedicated to me, Xie and Chen’s grand-niece.
