the en plein lid with a scene painted after Makovsky's A Boyar Wedding Feast, the side panels all decorated with polychrome shaded enamel floral and foliate motifs and scrolls, double-headed eagles as well as en plein alkonosts, male and female figures over light green enamel grounds, the lower edge with a leaf-tip border and a geometric double helix pattern, struck with maker's initials, 88 standard, scratched number 8445
