the magnificent glazed and characteristic bamboo display case containing an enormous recumbent lynx, on faux rockwork with vegetation

The secretive Eurasian lynx, is one of the widest ranging cats in the world, being found in the forests of western Europe, Russia and central Asia. The lynx has a prominent role in the Greek, Norse, and North American mythology. Known in some Native American Traditions as a ‘ Keeper of Secrets”.  It is also believed to have supernatural eyesight capable of seeing even through solid objects.
