Description

NIKE, NIKE SB DUNK HIGH PRO, SIZE 9

Rubber, Leather, Cotton, Synthetic

2006

Created in 2006, this Nike SB never received a wide release. Immortalized through sneaker blog posts from the early to mid-2000s, and on the feet of Sandy Bodecker, this Nike Dunk High can be found referred to as the ‘Hay’ sample, due to the intertwined hay on the outsole, or by its more widely known nickname the ‘Don Quixote’.

The tale of "Don Quixote" narrates the whimsical journey of a man who imagines himself as a noble knight, battling various illusions across the medieval Spanish countryside in pursuit of his beloved Lady.

The design of the shoe encapsulates the adventures of Don Quixote, reflecting the rugged terrain he traversed, including mud and hay. It boasts unique and artistic elements never before seen in any other SB release, featuring a nubuck exterior combined with a leather interior, hay integrated into the soles, and intricate stitching throughout the shoe, symbolizing the sewn clothing worn by Don Quixote throughout the novel.

The shoe features sample tags taped on the insole. The interior lining is sample-stamped. The interior size tags notate this pair as a Look See Sample.
