The goddess Vajrayogini appears as the principal Yogini in the Chakrasamvara tantra in the form of Naro Dakini as envisaged by the Indian Mahasiddha Naropa, drinking blood from a skull cup (kapala), with a flaying knife (kartrika) in her right hand, and a staff (khatvanga) over her shoulder.
