In 1953, Gio Ponti designed this wall-mounted chest of drawers as part of the furnishing for the Royal Hotel in Naples. Furniture were produced by Dassi, Milan and the architect for the hotel was Gianfranco Frattini.

The lot is sold together with a certificate of expertise from the Gio Ponti Archives, Milan, Italy.
