The Tube-Chair comprises four tubes of different diameters that can be rearranged into different configurations using steel clamps, allowing for a wide range of seating options. The modular design combined with this kind of versatility is one of defining features of the Tube -Chair. Additionally, the Tube-Chair's portability — facilitated by the ability to disassemble the pieces and carry them in a bag — made it a highly functional piece of furniture, reflecting Colombo's philosophy of flexibility and adaptability in design. The Tube-Chair is in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of New York and in the Stedelijk Museum of Amsterdam.
