Walter Steffenino widely researched innovative materials that he used to produce his furniture designs. He extensively experimented in the artisanal production of laminates by using photographies, wood veneers, drawings, prints and fabrics, including the printed fabrics produced by JSA which were designed by some of the most important artists of the 1950s. The top of this table is decorated with the Concetto Spaziale printed cotton satin fabric designed by Lucio Fontana and dated 1954.
