A George I quarter chiming brass lantern clock, John Crucifex, London, circa 1715
6½-inch silvered chapter ring, the dial plate engraved with tulips, leaves and a central rosette, the posted movement with three back-to-back trains, the front going train with verge and short bob pendulum, the central train with a pinned barrel chiming the quarters on a nest of six bells, the rear train with locking plate striking to the top-mounted hour bell, the conventional posted case with foliate scroll frets, the front fret signed John Crucifex, London, turned finials and ball feet; together with a 20th century oak hooded wall bracket,
