Circa 1830, no. 13055 


• Movement: unsigned frosted gilded bar-form, ruby cylinder escapement, flat three-arm balance, blued steel regulation arm with bi-metallic compensation curb, standing barrel, gold cuvette engraved with scroll-work border, movement details and with apertures for winding and hand-setting, cuvette signed and numbered Blondel & Melly, à Genève, no. 13055

• Dial: white enamel dial, Turkish numerals, outer minute ring, gilt filigree hands, secret signature beneath 12 o'clock, signed in Arabic script

• Case: gold and enamel, scallop-form, the back with 12 lobed segments polychrome enamel painted with garlands of flowers and allegories of love, art, music, geometry and agriculture, against a simulated shagreen ground of green enamel, the bezel similarly decorated, interior bezel decorated with yellow, light blue and white champlevé enamel, case back numbered 13055 and with maker's mark FM in oval cartouche, case with enamel restoration
