Description
Château Cheval Blanc 1978
St. Emilion, 1er Grand Cru Classé (A)
u. 1vts, 1ts, 3 labels with good appearance, 1 slightly soiled and slightly wrinkled; 3 étiquettes de bon aspect, 1 légèrement salie et légèrement froissée
56% Cabernet Franc, 44% Merlot. In 2019, a wonderfully luscious, intense perfume, still fresh and emphatic - it seems to have arrived at a plateau and is a great example of this late, October vintage. Rich and velvety on the palate, very harmonious and satisfying, especially with my first grouse of the season! Serena Sutcliffe, MW

Other highlights include 60s and 70s Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne together with a rare offering of Spirits including rare Bally Rhum from 1929 and 1939
