Persian manuscript on polychrome paper, 32 leaves, plus 3 fly-leaves, 12 lines to the page written in nasta'liq in black ink, f.1b with a gold and polychrome headpiece, f.1a with contemporaneous miniature painting, in gilt-stamped leather binding

leaf 19.6 by 11cm.

Although the biography of our scribe is not recorded, he is likely to be the same scribe who copied a manuscript of the Halnameh of 'Arifi dated 934 AH/1527-28 AD in the Chester Beatty Library, Dublin (Minovi, Robinson, Wilkinson and Blochet 1960, no.194). Two further manuscript bearing the name of the scribe are in the Topkapi Palace Museum, Istanbul (Karatay 1961, cats.66 and 388).
