comprising of two strands of pearls with gold and diamond-set pendants rendered in the form of lotus flowers, with pearl finials and the lower strand with emerald drops, the reverse of each pendant enamelled in red, green, white and blue with a central flowering lily with petalled border, earrings decorated ensuite
necklace 38cm; earrings 4.5cm.

This rare early necklace was included in an important exhibition of Indian jewellery lent by both private collectors as well as institutions such as the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Musees Royaux d'Art et d'Histoire in Brussels.
