Description
A Roman Bronze Wineskin Balsamarium
circa 2nd Century A.D.
in the form of a filled pigskin resting on its hindlegs and decorated in relief with clappers flanking a pan flute on the back, an ivy wreath around the neck, and a tympanon(?) hanging from the neck in front, the hinged lid missing.
Height 12 cm.
