A Regency cottage-form painted tea caddy, early 19th century
the hinged lid in the form of a gable roof, the interior fitted with two lead-lined compartments separated by a partition and covered by two square painted lids
14.5cm high, 17cm wide, 10cm. deep; 5 11/16in., 6 11/16in.
A tea caddy similarly decorated but with some additional details such as a third dormer window was sold at Sotheby's London, 12 November 1999, lot 11.
