A Charles II walnut, ebony and bone marquetry table top on a George I walnut base, the top circa 1675 and almost certainly by Gerrit Jensen, the base circa 1720


the hinged rectangular top inlaid with bone, green-stained bone and various woods with a central lobed reserve depicting a bird encircled by flowers, in a scrolled foliate border with a wreath-ringed bird to each side, lifting to reveal a well, above a plain frieze, on square tapering cabriole legs and square pad feet

72.5 cm. high; 97 cm. wide; 67 cm. deep; 2ft. 4½in., 3ft. 2¼ in., 2ft. 2½ in.
