"TO ALL SECRETARIES: Please discard old pages from your script for the above date and insert the attached REVISED PAGES in their place. THIS IS IMPORTANT!"

The present pages for the revised scene feature Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid's famous refrain, "Who are those guys," a reference to the "Superposse" pursuing Butch and Sundance. Here, as the notorious "two-bit outlaws" seek the help of Sheriff Ray Bledsoe (played by Jeff Corey), they're told by him that despite their charming characteristics, they're done, foreshadowing the film's iconic ending: "It's over, don't you get that? It's over and you're both gonna die bloody, and all you can do is choose where” (87). The accompanying boots were presumably worn by Newman as Butch Cassidy in one of the film's final scenes.
