We are grateful to the daughters of Jewad and Lorna Selim for their kind assistance in identifying this work and confirming that it was a sketch produced for the window of the Iraqi Pavilion shown at the International Fair in Damascus in 1954.

Please note that this work is attributed to the artist Lorna Selim and not as previously noted as by her husband, the artist Jewad Selim.
