Description

Shafer Vineyards, Cabernet Sauvignon, One Point Five, Stags Leap District 2004

Napa Valley

Highlights:

The 2004 is the first vintage of One Point Five, a Cabernet Sauvignon born of a then-new vineyard Shafer developed at the south end of Stags Leap District and dubbed "Borderline."

More than 15 vintages later, One Point Five has proven itself year after year to be a show-stopping Cabernet. On release Robert M. Parker, Jr. called it ""a brilliant introduction to their portfolio"" and it has only gained a larger, more avid following since.

In a recent retrospective tasting, Sara L. Schneider of Robb Report called the 2004 "... beautiful. A little rich, more than a little perfumed with fruit, and layered with exotic spice and luscious blackberry pie."
