Description

Château Ducru Beaucaillou 1970

St. Julien, 2ème Cru Classé

3 levels just into neck, rest better, labels very slightly dusty, base of capsules torn and damaged by dividers

In 2018, immediately it is scented, top St.Julien on the nose, spicy and intriguing. Intense and aromatic on the palate, with the finesse of the cru's breed and terroir. The sweet finish it always had, as one of the best 1970s made. Time to drink it. Serena Sutcliffe, MW

6 mags (owc)
