Cabernet Sauvignon 57%, Merlot 36%, Cabernet Franc 7%. They were very selective this time, with only 30% of production going into Carruades. In 2016, a whiff of coffee on the nose and a plummy mouthful, with a touch of vanillin. It seems medium weight now, but it can steal up on you. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
