The photographs show images from Northern and Equatorial Africa, depicting natural landscapes and townscapes, alongside portraits of groups of locals and images depicting missionary activity. The album was given to Monsieur Fouqué, Vicaire Général d'Algers, by Monsieur Livinhac, Supérieur Général des Péres Blancs, according to the manuscript presentation, in April 1904.
