Sid Vicious

Pronucreant, handwritten song lyrics

two verses of four lines each, neatly written in blue ink, 1 page, on a leaf torn from a ringbound notebook (201 x 123mm.), two creases

"We're so stupid

Don't know what we mean..."

EARLY LYRICS BY SID VICIOUS. Vicious was a member of a band with the unlikely name (suggested by Johnny Rotten) The Flowers of Romance before he joined the Sex Pistols. Rehearsals took place in Joe Strummer's Shepherd's Bush squat and mostly comprised Ramones covers, but they also penned their own songs, mostly in extravagantly bad taste. The Flowers of Romance never performed in front of an audience, let alone in a recording studio, but the line-up included Viv Albertine and Palmolive (The Slits) and Keith Levene (The Clash, PiL).
