Jamie Reid’s design for God Save the Queen continues the strategies he had announced with Anarchy in the UK – take the symbols of the establishment and turn them on their head: here the Union Jack again and the official Silver Jubilee portrait of the Queen by Peter Grugeon (often misattributed to Cecil Beaton). This sticker uses the same design as the poster, made for the sole use of the Sex Pistols/ Glitterbest and was originally intended to be added to a tea mug.
