Description
A Hungarian Silver Small Book Binding, Budapest, circa 1900
pierced with stylized Hebrew inscription surrounding on one side the Tablets, the spine with "Siddur", the back with dove and sunrays, owner's initials on the hinged side panel, fitted with a prayer book in Hebrew and Hungarian, with added ink and colored endpapers of conjoined monsters
Height 3¼in. (9.5 cm)
Fitted with a Hebrew-Hungarian daily prayer book printed by the Josef Schlesinger Buchhandlung in Budapest, apparently during the reign of Franz Joseph I. The spine says "prayer book.”
