the pale jade bowl carved as a stylised leaf with a wavy divider, the lid surmounted with a brightly-enamelled curling snake with garnet eyes, the silver-gilt support formed as a bird's claw, the joint decorated with gold-mounted garnet cabochons above a wavy band of green enamel, on an octagonal lapis lazuli base with bead-border, crimson-coloured velvet underside,
