Figures from the Panuco region were made with refined facial details and expressions. Here the delicate incised eyes and tightly pursed lips are highlighted by the gently raised and arched brow and the slender nose that is accented with a bead ornament. The coiffure is finely striated and pulled up into a soft chignon secured with a band. The body is of solid form and youthful in its stylized, stiff posture.
