Japanese designers created some of the most distinctive film posters of the 1960s. This piece is a good example of their creative flair.

This is a very rare Japanese poster that does not surface very often.

This 1960s science fiction film, directed by Roger Vadim, was based on the comic series of the same name by Jean-Claude Forest. Vadim tried to cast various actors in the title role, including Virna Lisi, Brigitte Bardot, and Sophia Loren, before casting his then-wife Jane Fonda as the space traveller Barbarella.
