framed: 49.8 x 40.5 cm.; 19⅝ x 16 in.
A reduced copy of the painting commissioned in 1620 by Nicolas Rockox, mayor of Antwerp, for the chapel dedicated to Saint Joseph in the Jesuit Church in Antwerp. That work is now attributed to Rubens' studio.1
