Description
NIKE, NIKE SB DUNK LOW PRO, SIZE 9
Rubber, Leather, Cotton
2002
Named for the East Coast skateboard label Zoo York, the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro ‘Zoo York’ was designed by co-founder Eli Morgan Gessner and SB team member Danny ‘Supa’ Supasirirat.
The shoe features Zoo York graffiti-inspired stencil graphics drawn from Supa’s skateboard deck on a Paul Brown and black upper with a gum outsole. Released alongside its West Coast counterpart, the ‘Zoo York’ and ‘Chocolate’ are considered to be some of Nike SB’s first skate brand collaborations.
What sets Nike SB apart from other competitive brands is the unbridled creativity, collaborators, materials, and whimsical highly thematic designs that define a generation of sneakerheads. Nike has explored hundreds of concepts – often with a sense of humor – through its Nike Dunks. From designs that range from beer bottles, to guitar cases, to horror films, jewelry, animals, arts and cities – the Dunks represent some of the most beloved and creative models for the brand.
