Rainbow Obsidian

6½ by 3¾ by 1½ inches (16.5 x 9.5 by 3.8 cm).
A specimen of obsidian that has been polished to highlight the aesthetic elliptical patterns of shimmering golds, greens, and pink.
Rainbow obsidian is dense volcanic glass, differing from regular obsidian in that the lamellar crystallites orientated parallel to the flow structure and produces the ghostly colored banding suggestive of a rainbow.
