3½ by 2½ by 1½ inches (8.9 x 6.4 x 3.8 cm). Custom lucite base.


A large cerussite featuring intricate patterning and the classic adamantine luster.

Historically known as white lead, cerussite consists primarily of lead carbonate and crystallizes in the orthorhombic crystal system. The specimen offered here is of significant size and interesting habit for the species and locality. The unique shape of this specimen has earned its nickname "Scarab".
