Superb gem set, sapphire and diamond pendant/brooch, 'Moghul', JAR, circa 1999

Of Indian architectural inspiration, set with a fancy cushion-shaped sapphire stated to weigh 14.77 carats, framed with circular-cut amethysts and single-cut diamonds, supporting a seed pearl tassel capped with single-cut diamonds, the detachable chains partially set with single-cut diamonds, length approximately 360mm, unsigned, case stamped JAR.



Accompanied by SSEF report no. 107578 and AGL report no. 1090158, each stating that the sapphire shows no indications of heating, the AGL report stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon origin.
