woodblock print, embellished with silver mica, from the series Styles of Contemporary Make-up (Kindaijisesho no uchi), signed Kobayakawa Kiyoshi, and with artist's bird-shaped seal Kobayakawa, dated Showa gonen nigatsu (February, 1930), privately published


Vertical naga oban: 51.7 x 30.1 cm x 20¼ x 12 in.

Kobayakawa produced only thirteen prints in his career. This series, 'Styles of Contemporary Make-up', comprises six designs (see Lot 39).
