A Spanish Baroque gilt-brass mounted red tortoiseshell and inlaid rosewood cabinet, late 17th century


the pierced gallery set on a red tortoiseshell background topped by finials depicting flames issuing from an urn, above a doorway with a central niche flanked on each side by two columns and four drawers with crowned escutcheons, the central door opening to reveal five bone inlaid drawers, the veneered sides each with a handle, on later ball feet, raised on an associated rosewood veneered and wrought iron stand
