The strip cartoon of Moonraker appeared in the Daily Express from 30th March 1959 until to 8th August of the same year. It was illustrated by John McLusky, who adapted thirteen of Fleming’s novels and short stories into cartoon form for the Daily Express between 1958 and 1966, starting with Casino Royale. The series was a success, boosting readership for the newspaper. This scene from Moonraker shows Bond playing the villain Henry Drax at cards.
