Patek Philippe launched reference 5711 in 2006 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Nautilus. Pulling inspiration from the original Nautilus, reference 3700, the present watch features a slightly larger case design.

When reference 3700 was first introduced to the market in 1976, it was marketed as the world's most expensive stainless steel wristwatch. Today it remains one of the most sought after models, due to its elegant and timeless design.

The current reference 5711 with blue dial has been officially discontinued a year ago at the end of February 2021.
