Launched in 2008 at the Basel fair, the Grand Complication 5207 ranks among Patek Philippe’s most complicated wristwatches as it combines a minute repeater, a tourbillon and an instantaneous perpetual calendar.
It took five years to Patek Philippe’s engineers to develop the ingenious mechanism that ensure the disks of the day, the date, the month, and the leap-year cycle to switch simultaneously and synchronously.
The case flanks and the minute-repeater slide are hand-engraved. The cambered sapphire-crystal glass protects the honey gold dial that gives the perpetual calendar a unique appearance. The apertures for the day, date, and month are arranged along an arc between 10 and 2 o’clock.
The limited number of produced models makes the 5207P a very sought-after collector’s item.
The watch is in great condition and comes with a Patek Philippe platinum snap-on case back, two setting pins, leather bifold and presentation case with key.
