In the spring of 1996, Patek Philippe created a new complication, the Annual calendar reference 5035J. The newcomer was subsequently crowned Swiss Watch of the Year in the year of its launch. This ingenious mechanism has emerged as one of the Manufacture’s flagship models. The complication indicates the date for months of 30 and 31 days and needs only one correction per year – from February 28 or 29 to March 1. The reference 5146G replaced the first Annual calendar 5035J, it was introduced in 2005. It was offered in yellow and white gold. The case grew to 39mm furthermore, Patek improved by removing the Roman numeral and replaced them by Arabic numerals resulting to a more contemporary dial design. It was discontinued in 2021, it remained in the collection for 16 years.

The present lot is offered in very good condition accompanied by its certificate of origin.
