Rolex

In the early 2000s Rolex introduced a handful of colourful hard stone dials to the Daytona resulting in playful twist to their iconic and timeless chronograph collection. The colours included blue, pink, yellow and the present green, made of chrysoprase, a rare gemstone ranging from light to deep green. Given the fragility of this material, manufacturing dials such as this one can prove difficult since the smallest margin of error will lead to fracture. Nevertheless. Rolex's craftmanship achieved absolute precision in the creation of these dials and furthermore applied four lines of inscription and 18k white gold Arabic numerals onto it. The present lot comes accompanied by its box and papers and includes among others a lizard card holder and document holder.
