Created in the 1930s, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso is a watch that embodies a distinctive modernity that was inspired by the art deco period. While the first concept of the Reverso was made as a commission piece by a Swiss-Businessman who desired a timepiece that can withstand the rigors of the mallet-waving during polo, the watch became an immediate success after it was made available in Jaeger-LeCoultre’s line of production.
With a compelling 23 part swiveling-case mechanism, the present Reverso Répétition Minutes comprises an impressive synchronous minute repeater mechanism with elegant sleek housing.
In a limited edition of 500 examples only. The silvered engine-turned dial is finished with a glazed aperture, which allows the wearer to admire the striking mechanism regulator in motion.
