F.P. Journe

The present example has a rare combination of pink gold dial, brass movement and platinum case. The first generation of the Octa Réserve de Marche are usually found with a white gold or yellow gold dial, and pink gold dials are mostly found in the second generation. The brass movement, on the other hand, has a straight Côtes de Genève finishing, a feature found on the first generation of the calibre 1300 produced in 2001. Later down the line F.P. Journe would use a rounded Côtes de Genève on their movement pattern. Lastly, upon inspection on the case number one would notice the engraving "190-02A" indicating that the case is number 190 and made in 2002. With a pink gold dial mostly found in the second generation, early brass movement from the first generation and a mid-generation case, the present watch is produced in between and has a very interesting configuration. Further complete with its box and certificate, the present watch is an extraordinary rare find and is sure to fascinate all discerning F.P. Journe collectors.
