A. Lange & Söhne is one of the greatest and highly respected watch manufacturers today. It is a brand of many accolades and of all it is most notable for being the center of German elite watchmaking. The Langematik introduced to the market in 1999 is a watch that was considered one of the greatest interpretations of the perpetual calendar function ever made. Not only is the watch equipped with an uncommon continuously moving moon phase disk which provides far greater accuracy than the jumping-disk styled moon phases other brands use, it is also the first self-winding perpetual calendar watch with a zero-reset function and a single corrector for advancing the entire calendar mechanism.
The Langematik featuring the brand’s iconic big date design is a watch for collectors who expect nothing less than perfection. Furthermore, the present watch being one of the earlier examples of the Langematik, featuring a unique stylized bracelet is kept in a very good original condition over the years. The natural signs of tarnishing implies that it has not been polished at all and is a condition which many collectors today adore.
