Most recognizable for its irregular presentation and carrousel tourbillon, the Freak is an ever evolving collection from Ulysse Nardin. Introduced in 2010, the present watch is named the "Diavolo" which means devil in Italian, fully symbolizes its name for its black and red colour scheme. It would bring about a number of brand new innovations to the Freak, such as silicium for its hairspring and majority of its movement, reducing weight of its components while providing improved accuracy. The Diavolo is also the first instance of a flying tourbillon being incorporated on its carrousel escapement, acting as a second indicator as well. The watch on the other hand preserves some important mechanism of its predecessors, using the bezel to set the time while the case back for manual winding purposes. The present watch expresses a bold and stylish personality and is offered at a fraction of its retail price only.
