Launching in 1954, the Rolex GMT-Master was the first wristwatch to display two different time-zones simultaneously and therefore became an instant success with pilots worldwide.

In 1959 the reference 1675 replaced the previous reference 6542. The 1675 was in production until 1980, which is a very long run, portraying its success among professionals and private users alike.

This particular timepiece features a very rare and highly sought-after dial combining the attractive features: gilt, non-chapter ring, Underline and Swiss only. The dial has beautifully aged and the gilt writing has a deep gold colour. The case retains strong proportions, with its original bevels and its number correctly matches the configuration of the dial. Additionally, the bracelet is also correct with the watch as it is stamped for the second quarter of 1964.
