Three French Silver Torah Pointers, Circa 1870 and 1840


one chased with scalework applied with Empire-style foliage and Hebrew inscription, by Paillard Frères, circa 1875; a gilt example fluted and partly matted, marks not clear, circa 1840; the third fluted and with bud finial, marks also not clear, all with hand terminals and with chains


Lengths 10 to 11 in. 

25.4 to 28 cm

The pointer with an inscription reads: "Donated in honor of the Omnipresent and in honor of the Torah by Samuel Zevi bar Eliakim Bomsel, in the year [5]635 [1875]".
