A Silver and Gold Large Torah Crown, Probably Argentine, Circa 1925


formed as a double dome each of ten ribs, the ribs applied with engraved gold budding plants, the shoulders with an inscribed gold band , short spire finial with Star of David top, apparently unmarked


Height 16 1/2 in.

42 cm

The inscription around the rim reads: “As an eternal remembrance, Baruch [Bernardo?] ben Abraham Judah Saidman and his wife Tobe bat Asher donated this Torah crown to Beth Jacob and Gemilut Hasadim. Buenos Aires, 1925.”
