the base with a six-character mark in underglaze blue within a double circle

Diameter 5½ in., 14 cm

Acquired in China before the 1970s.

1970年代之前得於中國

A Kangxi period bowl of this type is in the Palace Museum, Beijing and illustrated in The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum. Porcelains in Polychrome and Contrasting Colours, Hong Kong, 1999, pl. 207. Another was sold in our London rooms, 8th November 2017, lot 2.
