A George III carved mahogany bergère, circa 1760-70, in the manner of Thomas Chippendale


the top rail centred with an acanthus clasp and with a foliate tied moulded frame, scrolled padded armrests, with close-nail red leather upholstery and squab cushion, the serpentine presentation seat rail carved with folaite sprays issuing from c-scroll cabouchon, on cabriole legs headed with flowers and ending in boldly scrolled feet
