for 'Two greate Table dyamondes ech of them sett in a Collett of gould enamiled black' an advance of £1,020 with a proviso of redemption of £25, with the witness signature of Richard Chandler, 1 page, folio, 5 May 1619, edges frayed


Sir John Spilman was jeweller and goldsmith to James I, Anne of Denmark, and Elizabeth I. He founded the first commercially successful paper-mill in England.
